Chair, SASA & Membership representative
Amy has been involved with swim club for more than 10 years. She is Membership Secretary and Chairperson of the committee.
She’s a qualified timekeeper and enjoys spending time on poolside at club events.

Maike Willuweit
Treasurer
Maike joined the club in 2021 and took over the Treasurer role from Clare Kemsley in 2022 where she is in charge of club payments.
Maike has settled into Strathspey a few years ago after previously living in Malaysia and working as a Chief Geologist and Technical team lead in Asia Pacific.
She has enjoyed swimming all her life and swam in her primary years in Nässjö as well as Linköping swim clubs. Currently she enjoys the outdoors and wild swimming in the local lochs.

Cath Moore
Coach Representative
Cath is a long serving coach at GSC and has been substantial part of the swim club since over 25 years.
Cath was a competitive swimmer – both in lifesaving and swimming. At university she took her swim teaching qualifications whilst studying for a degree in Hotel Management.
She moved to Nethy Bridge over 25 years ago and started teaching swimming to two children and, over time, the competitive Grantown swim club was established with the number of swimmers she has been coaching increasing up to 400 people
After taking swim coaching & tutoring qualifications Cath then volunteered in Jamaica for 4 years where she was setting up the National Swim Program – SwimJamaica. Back in Strathspey for now 13+ years Cath is now heading up the coaching at the club.

Feri Collins
Child Protection Officer / Safeguarding
Feri is a psychotherapist/ senior counsellor for Crossreach Counselling Inverness.
She has enjoyed swimming all her life and her happy place is by the sea.
She is the GSC Child Protection Officer in charge of safeguarding the club members. She also lends valuable support to organising events

Gerry Burke
Committee Member
Although Gerry has tried to avoid water since he had to be rushed to hospital with coldshock after early lessons in the sea around Barra, he is keen that the next generation doesn’t miss out on this healthy exercise.
His enthusiasm has been channeled into joining the GSC committee and raising funds through the well-supported snack stall at swim events.

Judy Burke
Committee Member
Judy has been on the GSC committee for a couple of years and enjoys helping out at swim events and with other tasks.
She moved to the area 14 years ago and is a Retail Manager in Aviemore. She loves being in the sun and in or near the water.
Kathryn Talbot Heigh
Meet Secretary
As Meet Secretary Kathryn deals with all the administration behind swimmers entering external Swim Meets as well as helping to set up and run Club timing evenings and Championships.
Kirsty Sparham
Committee Member
Kirsty is on the GSC committee and lend valuable support for swim events as well as other GSC business
