MEETS & ENTRIES
Open meets are open for anyone from the club to swim at according to their age group. Online entry forms will be made available on the website.
Mini meets are for swimmers that are 11yrs and under.
Some meets have consideration times meaning that the swimmer has to have swam faster (sometimes not as fast as) than the consideration time in order to qualify for the meet. For these meets the Meet Secretary runs an eligibility report and advises the Head Coach. The Head Coach or Meet Secretary will then invite eligible swimmers to compete at the meet and an entry form will be provided online.
The Head Coach will provide advice on which swims to target if a swimmer has several event options.
Officials
It is a requirement of all meets that all clubs entering swimmers provide technical officials (timekeepers/judges). For some meets, the club is fined if we cannot provide the correct amount of officials.
Parents must be available to help at all meets in which their child is swimming. Only in exceptional circumstances, with prior permission from the Meet Secretary, will a child be entered without a parent/guardian available to help.
Confirmed swims
Swims are usually confirmed by the organising swim club about 2 weeks prior to the meet. The Meet Secretary will let people know about swims asap after confirmation. Once swims have been confirmed your meet fees are also due. Please pay meet fees promptly online using bank details below (this is not the same account used to pay monthly fees). Unfortunately, with the large amount of money that leaves the gala account to pay for entries in advance of meets we can no longer enter swimmers for future meets where they still have outstanding gala fees to be paid for previous meets.

Withdrawals
Please be aware that if you withdraw from an event (even a reserve swim) after the host club’s official closing date you will be liable for the entry fee. If you need to withdraw your child from an event prior to the event please inform the Meet Secretary who will contact the host club and withdraw your child. If you need to withdraw your child on the day of the event you should contact the coach attending the meet.
