Junior sports science Tuesdays 3.45-4.25pm

Strength club Thursdays 4-4.45pm or 5-5.45pm.
Swim Club Christmas Meal – Sunday 15th December
We thought it would be nice for there then to be a social/meal somewhere in Inverness after the Aquadome training. It’s going to be hard to find somewhere big enough for us all, and to suit all tastes. The ides so far would be for either Zizzi, Bella Italia or Pizza express in Inverness centre. With the aim book the tables for 4.30 pm

It’s likely that we can arrange a set menu to reduce the cost. It may be something like £20 per adult for 2 courses, and £10 per child for 2-3 courses.

If you can reply to Mairi Crawford by Monday 30th September on cmairi75@yahoo.co.uk if you can attend. Menus and confirmed costs will be available at a later date.
“Go Swim” Loch Morlich
“On the blustery morning of Saturday the 14th September, a team of volunteers from Grantown Swim Club showed up at Loch Morlich to assist with the Go Swim event.

The main task was being in charge of the events bag drop/pick-up area. This turned out to be an important task in organizing bags into the correct swim categories, finding these bags when cold swimmers had finished and needed to quickly change into dry clothes. This local loch turned from being very calm a few days before into a swirling washing machine on the Saturday. The winds picked up to gale wind gusts and some experience in aiding hypothermia until the medics came turned to be a valuable skill.

The volunteers got snack/lunch tokens, and some burgers disappeared fast.

For the volunteering again this year, the club will receive a donation soon.

Big thanks to Isobel and Eilidh Kirkbride, Al and Milo Collins, Steve and Bjørn Flew, as well as Maike Willuweit for being early on site.”
